Before your appointment
You generally don't need to do anything special to prepare, though arriving reasonably hydrated is a sensible baseline for any IV appointment. Before treatment, expect a brief conversation about your health history — this screening step exists to help determine whether IV therapy is an appropriate option for you on that day.
During your appointment
A small IV line is placed, typically in the arm, and your chosen fluid and/or vitamin blend is administered over a period of time that varies by the specific formulation.
